Day 3: The Proof Is In The Purple May 12, 2014

As a testament to the fact that 1) not all “green smoothies” are green and 2) green smoothies are so delicious that a three-year-old will happily consume them, I present to you the Blueberry Kale Punch.

We got this recipe a while back from the ladies at Simple Green Smoothies. If you haven’t visited their site already, we highly recommend you do so. They offer a dearth of green smoothie advice and recipes.

blueberry kale punchBlueberry Kale Punch (serves 2)
2 cups kale, destemed (warm property)
1 cup almond milk (warm property)
2 oranges, peeled (cool property)
1 cup blueberries (cool property)
2 bananas (cool property)

If you’re reading the above recipe and have no idea what I mean by “warm property” or “cool property,” be sure to check out our previous post about the thermodynamics of our food and the importance of eating seasonally.
