We’re Thrilled We’ve Been “Robbed” September 12, 2016

We’ve definitely been up to something. Have you noticed? Our latest announcement is a game-changer, both for you as a patient and for Family Tree Acupuncture.

For as much as we have to offer in the way of health care, we’ve been severely lacking in appointment availability lately, especially during evening hours. As our patient base has grown over the last four years, we’ve become booked as far out as 3 weeks. While that’s good news for us as practitioners, we don’t like making you wait that long.

So with no further ado, and with the greatest excitement, allow us to introduce the newest member of Family Tree Acupuncture……Dr. ROB!!!

Consider Dr. Rob to be your early Christmas present. After nearly two years of searching for another Acupuncture Physician to join our team, we’ve found someone whose caliber of training, breadth of experience and charming personality are a perfect match for Family Tree Acupuncture.

What does this mean for you, exactly? In a nutshell: more appointment availability, extended evening hours, and continued extraordinary healthcare. Family Tree will soon be open on Mondays. Extended evening hours with Rob are now available on Wednesdays and Fridays. We’ll also be offering extended community acupuncture hours on Wednesday evenings.

So who is this Dr. Rob character anyway? And how deftly can he wield an acupuncture needle? He has quite the story, and it’s best you hear it directly from him.

robsilverbergI was first introduced to acupuncture and Chinese medicine while living in New York and working in the music industry. Being in a very corporate and competitive environment, my days were filled with stress that eventually took a toll on my health and happiness. This all changed once I began to experience the healing benefits of acupuncture and Chinese herbs. They not only helped me cope with my stressful life during that time, but also my aches and pains, sleep, digestion, energy levels, and overall sense of well-being.

As I learned more about this ancient medicine, my passion for it grew and I soon realized it was something I could share with others and pursue as my chosen field. After more than ten years, I decided to leave my music biz career and never looked back! I relocated to Austin, TX and attended the AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine. Studying with top practitioners from Chengdu, China, it was there that I developed my expertise not only in acupuncture and herbal medicine, but also other natural healing modalities including moxibustion, cupping, gua sha, tui na massage, qi gong, and tai chi.

As an acupuncture physician, I have treated patients in different healthcare settings all over the world including private practices, hospitals, community clinics, and even on cruise ships based in Australia. I love that I can do acupuncture almost anywhere.

And while I have the utmost respect for western medicine, as my own father is a retired physician, I believe there are too many individuals today who have unnecessary surgeries and/or are overmedicated. It is my passion to introduce as many people as possible to the more natural and holistic ways of healing that Chinese medicine provides. It is my sincere belief that everyone has the ability heal given proper treatment, guidance, and lifestyle. I am excited to help you get there!

Rob’s story captivated us from the very beginning. After working with him on a trial basis for the last two months, we’re more than just impressed, we’re smitten. We know you will be too.
The three of us have been working together in a completely unique way to

bring you exceptional patient care. When we share patients, we collaborate with one another behind the scenes to generate treatment strategies that will optimize your health and provide you with the most relief. Why have just one Acupuncture Physician working with you when you can have two or even three, right?

Our Growing Family Tree

Our growing family tree (left to right): Maggie (Acupuncture Physician, Ali (Happiness & Wellness Coordinator), Rob (Acupuncture Physician), Jorge (Acupuncture Physician) & Mellony (Holistic Skin Care Specialist).

With that in mind, we encourage you to take full advantage of Family Tree’s extended appointment availability when booking your follow-up visits. No matter which Acupuncture Physician you schedule yourself to see, we’ll be working together as team to provide you with the best possible healthcare.

Merry Christmas.

I came in for the first time today. From my very pleasant phone conversation with Ali,
to check in (with a cup of
tea), to my consultation and treatment with Dr. Rob, I couldn't have been treated any better. I love the relaxing and welcoming feeling you get from both the staff, and the lovely decor. I look forward to recommending your clinic to my family and friends. Thank-you Reply
